President Jonathan assures family of govt’s support

Yenagoa—The first civilian governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha’s son, Oyamuyefa Alamieyeseigha, is dead.
Though the cause of the death of the 32-year-old could not be ascertained at press time, it was learned that he was found dead outside his family’s apartment in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, in the early hours of Saturday.
A source said Oyamuyefa might have been strangled to death and his body dumped in front of his family house.
Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan, in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media & Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, assured the Alamieyeseigha family that Federal Government would work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death.
Vanguard learned that the deceased was the fourth of five children of the former governor.
The family, in a statement by Prince Opukiri Ere, said a delegation, comprising members and associates, had left for Dubai.
