THE SECURITY ANALYSIS OF Igbos STATION IN NiGERia.

(Analyzed by Kelechi Nwagbara)

One truth is that Igbos stand to benefit more in 'One Nigeria' had it been structured unbiased. But there is a established constitutional conspiracy against the Igbos since 1969. The motive was not totally out of hate or envy of the tribe's enterprise but out of fear and as precautionary measure to checkmate their economic expansion and material strength. This conspiracy is in a classified document and saved in the State house's archive which every installed president of Nigeria must swear to uphold and keep secret. The major contents are: 1. No Igbo man must be allowed to become the president of Nigeria, 2. No international outlet must be established anywhere in the Igbo soil.

The reason for the No.1 is to prevent swift disintegration of Nigeria which the 1966 succession attempt stands as a practical cue.

The reason for No.2 is to prevent the slow disintegration of Nigeria by the increasing economic strength of the Igbos which will result to great political influence on the associate tribes and all the business environments the Igbos control both in the North and West. To bring this conspiracy to an effect, no international airport or seaport must be allowed to operate anywhere in the Igbo soil.

In this way, all importations made by Igbos are easily monitored, and the growth of the tribe's economy will be decentralized so that there will be no cohesive force within the people, which will prevent them from having one unified front which the detractors fear most. In practical, when an Igbo business man imports goods from overseas, it lands in Lagos, it will then cost him almost as much as the ships rates to convey these goods to Ariri Market in Aba so instead he takes them to Alaba Market in Lagos where he can as well sell them the same price and save more money.

The consequence is that this Igbo man will start building warehouses and investing within his place of business which is far more profitable than taken the goods home and investing his profits there. Thus, he continue developing the economy of this area where he is a stranger while living his home town bare, therefore making the conspiracy grand and effective. This economic manipulation is common not only in the west but in Kaduna, Kano, Abuja etc.

And Igbos, being of versatile disposition in business, easily got hooked for it and thus remained in their web. This is why Imo state government backed down on the ID project when the Igbos' investments in the North were threatened. It backed down because the threat was real, and the threat was issued because the tool was effective; the Igbos don't want to be separated from their investments so they succumbed and avoid anything that will lead to that- even political struggle.

President Goodluck Jonathan decorated Enugu international airport but refused to give it the status of an international airport because he swore to this conspiracy.

Igbo statesmen were forcefully prevented from having a meeting by armed operatives in a hotel in Owerri during his early rule because this conspiracy was going to be exposed and discussed. Mr President denied ordering the armed men but failed to reveal who ordered them and did nothing about it. He did nothing about it because he knows it was part of the conspiracy he swore to uphold.

It can be assumed that President Goodluck knew that this is unfair but remained mute and loyal to the conspirators because he wanted second tenure and planned to do the right thing inpunitively when he has no more favour to receive from the cabal. That is, in his next tenure he will build seaport and real international airport for the Igbos. This could be a convincing argument (by an un-powerful president) but whether it is enough to make Igbos keep faith with him is another thing in question.

The Igbos must understand their station in Nigeria otherwise they will remain violent victims of the North and Economic victims of the West. Igbos that reside and do business outside the Igboland, especially, in the Northern Nigeria, must understand that they and their properties are conspicuous targets and therefore take effective measures to protect themselves.

And the simplest of these measures are:
1. They must start taking their investments home even if it is on an extra cost.

2. They should form strong associations, possibly armed, to prevent a massacre, and never expect Nigeria's security agencies to protect them in the North.
3. They must try be together during and after the coming general election, fight and destroy without mercy any aggressor that may face towards them.

The truth is that whether they support Jonathan or not, any anger against Jonathan will be expressed on any Igbo man within reach by the northerners who is his default enemy.
